Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Obtaining Copy Of Judgement

How do I go about obtaining a copy of the judgement against me? (from Travis County Court)

The only way I found out about the judgement was through credit report. It mentions plaintiff name, reference no. and liability.

I searched Travis County Clerk's web site online. I used the reference number in Credit report to locate the document. I found something under ''EASEMENT'' type of dicument but the details are missing.

Do I have to apply in person at the court? Can I hire an attorney for a reasonable price to help me through this?

I have sometimes done these things for out-of-town clients, but you could go down the the clerk's office and request the same information yourself. There is usually a retrieval fee and a copy fee. You might be able to get a service company to do that for you for a slight expense (compared to an attorney).
