What can be done about debt collection letters after the statute of limitations is passed

The creditor may still try to collect by sending letters or calling, they just can't sue. You can send them a letter telling them to cease and desist from any and all communications with you and they have to comply. IF they don't, its a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
