Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Do I have to pay credit card bills that are not in my name?

A friend of mine gave me two credit card under her name and account. I was using them and now I do not have them anymore, there is still a balance and I have been making payments on them, but I can not afford them anymore...do I have to pay this back, even though I never asked for them and my name is not on the account? What legal actions can she take to collect from me? And by the way, we were having an affair when all this took place.

It's your debt, so you are responsible. If you don't pay, they'll look to her, since the account is in her name.

She can then sue you for the money you've caused her to lay out.
