His debts are the responsibility of his estate, that is, the money or property (other than homestead)that he left after his death. You can call the car co. to come and pick up the car and notify the credit cards of his death. Don't let anybody tell you are responsible for his debts. You are not. Don't sign anything to assume his debts. You are not individually responsible. If there is anything of value in his estate, that could be sold to pay his debts.
