Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

personal loan default

Several years ago (maybe 8 years) I loaned approx. $6,000 to an acquaintance in TX. I was given a signed promissory note. Now, I'm in Ohio, I believe the recipient is in CA. Payments began, $100 monthly installments, but third check bounced. Its been a few years and I've been unable to get payments to recommence. What are my options to pursue repayment?

Nothing. You have passed the statute of limitations for suit on a debt.
