Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Phone calls to my office

I keep getting calls from people at my office..when I ask what company they are with they tell me it's a confidential personal business matter and they won't tell me the NAME of their company and when I refuse to put them through to the party they are calling for - they tell me it's a FEDERAL LAW that they DON'T have to tell me the name of the company they are with.

Is this true?

No. Ask them to send you a copy of the law and you will send it to corporate counsel. "Thank you very much. Have a nice day. Good bye." That can be your response to every phone call. (Just ion case, I am *not* your corporate counsel). Good Luck.

without research, I don't know but you do have the right not to let people discuss "personal" matters..
