Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

What happens to my property when I get Deployed?

I was deployed to Iraq for the past year and had a vehicle that I was making payments on. The vehicles was supposed to be being repaired. Upon my arrival from my deployment I learned that the owner sold it for salvage. The problem is that I am the owner and never authorized the transaction nor did my financial institution. I am entitled to get my property back? If not am I at least able to get the money that they made from the transaction? otherwise I am out $13,000 and a vehicle. I hope that you can help me.

Sounds like a violation of the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act. I will be glad to help you if you cannot find anyone else who handles these types of cases. I am in Dallas.

It sounds as if what was done was a violation of the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief, Act 50 USC App. 501 et seq. You need to contact a lawyer in your area.
