How to prove sol

I have read several post and i know sol applies to my mother, how to prove is in court? its been 6yrs since last payment, payment were made w/ money orders, so no old check to submit. a private server came to my house, my mother does not live w/ me my son answered the door, they asked for my mothers name, he told them she did not live here, he told him that she was being sued in court for a credit card. how did they get my address? how do we find out what credit card sueing, what court? waht date? he left no card, another question my mother has not looked @ her credit report since then, has not attempted to open new credit, so if i buy one online will that reawaken creditors? most important how to prove sol? and find out who is suing her

Mr. Grissom is right.

There may be personal jurisdiction problems with the service of process. Jurisdiction and SOL are pleading issues that are difficult to explain to a layman, and if not plead correctly, may be 'lost' defenses. An attorney can handle this properly.

The lawsuit says who is suing her. Take it to a lawyer to determine statute of limitations. Most lawyers are experts in this area.
