Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I purchased some furniture from Ashley Furniture 2 years ago with a no interest for 2 years but making payments. The "special time" lasped on 08JAN10. I was out-of-town and quite frankly did not know that the time had lasped. I paid my bill online through my bank both in JAN and FEB. I received a bill today showing I had been accessed a late fee because I had not paid the correct amount in FEB. I paid the bill on 05FEB10 and it was not due until 08FEB10. I disputed the late fee but they would not budge. They stated even though I paid ahead of the dute date the amount was wrong and they consider that a late payment.

I begged them to give me a break and not charge me the 1900.00 in interest because I was out-of-town and had my bill paid by my bank and quite frankly I did not know my "free" time had lasped. I told them I would pay what I owed in JAN in full today and they could charge me interest for JAN and FEB. They refused and said I could pay them 2900.00 today and they would deduct 500.00 of the interest. I refused and told them I did not have that much money. I told them I had always paid my bill on-time the past 2 yrs. and had a previous account that I had paid-in-full after 1 yr. with no interest and always on-time. I was a good customer. Long story short, they would not budge. I then told them I would send 1600.00 and that I was not going to pay the interest.

Do I have any recourse?

Thank you,
