Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

a question on ajudgement

please help does anyone know about 2 years ago my husband got sick hehad afew credit card debits he couldnot pay they are about to put ajudgement on us his court date may 19 08 we canot pay he is back in the hospital again. if they freezemy checking accounthow long after thecourt date does this happen. thank you for your help

Do you have a lawyer for May 19? if not, did you file written answer? where are you? Do not consent to a judgment...credit cards may have added penalties/interest and the amount may be wrong..have you filed a sworn denial?Has four years past since last payment?

IF they get a judgment then you need to close or move bank accounts..keep money protected..as they cannot garnish wages/social security income etc..Contact us if you want more help
