Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Ramifications with Power of Attorney
If a person does a power of attorney for a family member, and the family member is in major financial debt, will this debt affect the person's credit who's acting as the agent? Thanks.

Re: Ramifications with Power of Attorney
The attorney-in-fact is not responsible for the debts of their principle. It should have absolutely no affect on the agent's credit.
