Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I received a citation that I am being sued by an individual who loaned me money. I have paid 2/3rds of the loan back, never refused to pay back the remaining, but the lender is mad it is taking longer than our original agreement. They have demanded payment dates and interest and the dates they offered have passed. They threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay their demands by Dec 25. I didn't and they filed a small claims court case Dec 30. How do I answer the citation?
