Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Received letter Allen L. Adkins & Assoc, P.C. Citibank N.A. is asking me to settle $. If I do not they are taking me to court. Question is: They want $3,891.49 which is really good but all I can afford (barely) is $50.00 a month. What do I do? Contact them by phone and ask them to except this? They put a judgment against me 2004 and now 7 years later they are planning on sueing me. What is my best move? I have no family, live alone and have just enough money to pay may bills. Thank You Diana

Adkins is a very good lawyer. If there is a judgment, then why are they suing you; they should already have a judgment? If there is no actual judgment and there has no activity since 2004, it may be out of the statute of limitations. If it is beyond the statute of limitations, then if you make a payment you will revive the debt.
You should make a consultation with a local attorney to discuss this.
