Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

i just received a scary call from a collector who stated they are having some type of hearing; not sure if thats what he called it; tomorrow morning at 10 am; over a payday loan i never paid a few years ago; the balance is now $1, 130; what are my options? what can they do to me?; i am in texas

The odds are about 99% that they're lying to you about the "hearing."

Were you ever served with any kind of citation or notice?

They can sue you for a debt. If they do, you'll be served with something.

Stop talking to them on the phone. JUST HANG UP.
