Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

We have recently hired a debt management firm to help settle our debts. One of the debts we are trying to settle belongs to a bank where we have all of our accounts. Can the bank arbitrarily take money out of our checking/savings accounts to apply the funds to this debt? Thank you.

Possibly..it may be wise to change banks..or at least minimize the amount kept in that account
