Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Release of Jugement Lien
a judgement was issued in district court, which we paid through the sheriff's dept in our county. The Judgement Debtor never filed the Release of Judgment Lien and now is evading doing so. What would be our simplist and quickest way to remedy this? This is tying up a closing

Re: Release of Jugement Lien
Evading? I have sued evaders and obtained a temporary restraining order and injunction to prevent them from failing to sign a release. This will not allow closing on your property now and causes you certain damages. You can pursue the lawsuit after you obtain the release if you want. This will usually take at least a month or 6 weeks, so your closing is likely off. Contact me by email if you want my assistance.
