Release of Lien

I paid my mortgage but the mortgage company is not releasing the lien. It is more than 100 days. They were blaming other department. What should i do?

You can write to them, certified mail, stating that either they release the lien, or show where they should not release the lien, or you may take legal action to force them to do what they should have done already. That letter may get them moving.

A lawsuit isn't really practical since the cost and time wouldn't appreciably improve their rate of response and may, in fact, tie things up in their legal department until the lawsuit is over.
