Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Repossion & Credit Rating
My credit is outstanding, except for a voluntary repossion of an auto which, after 1 1/2 years, I went to sell it and found out that 3 dealers offered me 6k on a car that had an 18.7k payoff. I was told that the car was in an accident. Probably the dealer knew about it and never told me. The dealer said it was my word against theirs. Realizing there was nothign I could do about it, I gave the car back. Since my credit is good, is there any way I could fight the repo on my credit, and if not, should I continue to keep my other loans payed and up to date, or let all my credit go bad ?

Re: Repossion & Credit Rating
You should definitely contest the repo - particularly the value of the vehicle. You now have the lender in the position that the dealer had you in. Their word against yours.
You may still have a lawsuit against the dealer and the lender. Call me if you wish to discuss.
