Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

returned check NSF

I have received a NSF check in the amount of $50....I am sending a certified letter and would like to know what I can charge, other than the check amount and the fee the bank charged me. Her check caused me to bounce two myself, which I immediately covered. Those costs were $32 per check. I have also contacted her by phone three times and of course she promised to bring me cash for the check, however after 4 days she has not. How many days by law can I give her before I take further action? Thanks for your help.

Re: returned check NSF

Generally, when a check is returned for NSF, you may have a few options. First, you may be able to seek criminal charges. Second, you may be able to seek civil actions against the drafter of the document. You should seek the assistance of a law firm to assist you with the collection. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
