Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

sale of auto

we sold a truck and made a hand written agreement. The buyer was supposed to make weekly payments. He did so for abouttwo and a half months but never in the amount we agreed upon. We tried to work with him so we accepted what he paid. But now he has not made a payment in about ten weeks. He keeps making up lies about mailing payments. He has paid $5100.00 on $7500.00 which is quite alot and we don''t want to take the truck back but we do want the balance owed. What can we legally do?

File suit in JP court for the balance which is owed to you. Once he is served, he will probably find that lost $2400.00.
