Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

School debt

I drop out of costemology school and is aware that I owe them, but at the same time I feel that the school did not provide what they need to. For one we had only one teacher for the longest time teaching between senior and junior classes. Two when there are no teacher we just sit around and wait for insturction when we know that in beauty school we are not suppose to milk the clock. Three there are days that I did not stay the full day and because I was FA I needed to be full time in order for FA to pay so I notice that they added hour so that I can get the full hours and they get pay. I never received a bill from them but pay them and ask the creditor to send me a bill every month so that I can send the payment in but they didnt. Later I found out I was sent to collection and owe more than I owe. I told the collection company that I can only make monthly payment and can not pay the full amount they send me a bill and and I pay around $200. After that I did not recived any more bill and came to find that they put it on my credit report. What can I do to get rid of it and erase it from my credit report. An it seem that the creditor has only sent me to collection an not other who quit like myself.

Re: School debt

You need to contest the debt & ask for proof in writing by certified mail. Sounds like you have valid defenses. If this is important to you, I suggest you speak with an attorney. Good Luck.
