Separated with different accounts/but his fresh start payment coming out of my a
Separated with my own account but he refuses to take my name off his account.He signed up for fresh start payments since he purposely wrote checks that bounced on his account. Now the bank is taking his payments out of my account because he's not putting any money in his.The bank says they can do this because my name is on both accounts.I have asked them to take my name off his account but they say they can't because he had the account first and then added my name later.Is there anything I can do? I'm tired of paying off his debts-that is one of the reasons I left him.Thank you for any help you could give me.

So long as you're married to him, the debt is a joint debt. Divorce him and set up a new account at a different bank.
