Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I was served papers saying an attorney representing a collection co. that bought my credit card debt It states I have 20 days to respond .What can I do ?Can they get my bank account? My home is homesteaded and im in texas.Can an attorney help get me out of this?
