served by proccessor

a note was left on my door by a proccessor saying he is trying to serve me with a number to call him. Am I obligated to call him so he can serve me? Reason to serve is unknown to me.

Re: served by proccessor

You are not obligated to call him. If you avoid service, you may be served by publication, and a default judgment taken out against you. You might want to call the District and County Clerks in counties where you have lived, and ask if there is a lawsuit against you, and who filed it.
