settlement with collection agency saying they are a law firm
i have a credit card debit of appx. 13,000. i have been
contacted by a collection agency concerning a settlement.
i have talked to four different people all wanting different
amounts of money, or a down payment with monthly payments,
they say if i dont pay the settlement it will go to arbitration, What exactly will happen? what steps will they take to get this resolved, i came up with the 3400. original settlement and then it changed to a different
amount, i dont want to send money if account wont be resolved, will they serve me and give me a court date or
automatically sue me without any notice? thanks for any

Write to them, certified mail return receipt requested, set forth your objections and demand that all further communications are to be in writing only.
Forget the telephone. Get it in writing.
