Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Small claims court

If i am trying to repay a debt that i owe and am sending the collection agency payments towards that debt can they still take me to small claims court, i have explain to the orginal creditors that i will make the payments and i sent the first within ten days from when i recieved the notice, because that is what the notice said to do. also they want to say that my credit card was fraudalent which is not true because they were able to charge two payments on it. i only owe three more installment payments. they said that they wont accept anymore payments, which is not true because, if they were not accepting any payments, they would have sent the money order back to me from the first payment that i made.i am sending payment number two and am smart enough to make copies of the money orders before i send them. I am cooperating to the fullest, so legally what can i do?

Re: Small claims court

If you still owe money, you can still be sued in Small Claims. Keep track of the payments and all correspondence. If they sue you, you'll be able to show the Court that you've paid it off.
