Small Claims-Texas

I withheld payment for a substandard roof. The roofer would not fix it. The roofer filed small claim and won. The judge was a retired substitute that did not develop the case nor did he ask my witnesses any questions. I didn't know I could ask them myself. One of the clerks said I could file ''a motion''. What did she mean? It's too late to file an appeal. Can he put a lien on my homestead if I don't pay the judgment? I do feel I owe part but not all. I had pictures to prove my case, but the judge would not look at them. Can I apply for a wrongful trial or something similar? I heard he can have me arrested. Is this true? I am a senior citizen being taken advantage of, with no money.

you can file a pauper's oath..and appeal..or if not a justice of the peace court...ask for a new trial and perhaps call North Texas Legal Aid clinic...young families also have no mmooney
