Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

sold vehicle in payments

i sold my car which is paid for and title is in my name, to my stepson. he paid me all payments except the last one. it has been 2 months and he is telling me to f*** off and that if i come get my car i need to refund his money. do i have legal right to reposess? there was only a verbal agreement and there is no paper work of me even selling him the car.

there will be trouble if i show up at their house, would the police do a stand by with me? what are my options?

Re: sold vehicle in payments

I presume you transferred title, if so, do nothing. If you kept a lien on the tirle but do not have a contract permitting repossession, do nothing. The hassle is not worth the damage ...good luck..
