Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

My spouse and I recently moved to TX from CO. My spouse has personal debt/loans that I am not responsible for but debt collectors are saying that since Texas is a community property that they can come after me for payment. Is this true?

NO....GET THE NAME ADDRESS ETC..BUT ASK THEM TO PUT IT IN WRITING AS IT VIOLATES FED FAIR DEBT COLLECTION TO MISREPRESENT LAW..
