Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Statue of limitations

I have a seven year old $1500.00 dollar judgment I have not done anything but file an abstract of judgment after the judgment was a year old. Do I have to file a renewal of judgment in order to enforce a writ of judgment has the statue of limitations ran out on trying to collect on said judgment?

Re: Statue of limitations

The judgment is good for ten years, then you'd need to renew it by ordering a writ of execution and another abstract of judgment.
