Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Student Loan Judgment

I have two Federal Student Loans that were not discharged after a bankruptcy. They both have judgments against me. How do I go about vacating them? More importantly, at least to me, how do I remove the lien on the real estate title? If I start to make payments now, I will be seventy years old when the loan is finished. Is there any president that the Federal Government will negotiate a settlement with me, or at least remove the lien?

Re: Student Loan Judgment

The only way you can 'vacate' the judgment, or lift the lien, is to pay off the judgment. You might be able to negotiate a lower amount with a cash payment rather than a payout over time. Everything is negotiable, but you are dealing from an extremely weak hand.
