Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Student Loans

I got served to pay citibank $6000 in student loans that I thought that I had deferred. What's going to happen or what do I do? I am trying to pay off two babies I just had and one of which was in the hospital for a month because she had a blood infection. I told the collectors that and I signed papers for deferrment and then I never heard from them again until these papers that were served to me today. I don't want to be sued and would like to pay them back, but I don't have a whole lot of money. I am living like everyone else today, paycheck to paycheck.

Re: Student Loans

unfortunately collectors do not honor their agreements...be sure to answer the claim by writing the Court that you had an agreement..and if you have a copy, attach it to your answer..and sign before a notary public swearing to the truth OR call a local lawyer. to get some help..call us but we are in Duncanville...
