Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Student Loans
If I understand the law correctly, most debts are included on a credit report for only seven (7) years. Is that also true of student loans? If not, how long can a student loan be reported and why are they excluded from the law as it pertains to other debts?

Re: Student Loans
Student loans are in a class by themselves. Congress decided that there is no statute of limitations for a federally-backed student loan.
