Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Being sued by Cach LLC less than 20 days
Received a Petition with Incorporated Discovery, from lawyer representing a company who purchased an old credit account. File date was Jul 16and then they have file substitute service sept 5 2007. But in Aug whenpulled credit report and found the name of collector on report. Mailed a debt validation request in response before the end of thirty days i received just an old statement from chase showing chg off amount and interest along with a copy from bank rep stating we had an account and it was sold to collector on or about june 2006. When we rec'd this the lawyer for the collector said they would forward the rest of documents as they rec'd them. They had till 25th Sept. But instead we receive this petition and now it sounds like they want to see all our documents on the matter. I can't afford legal and don't even know how to answer this thing, i just become more confused trying to find an answer on the web. Help please

Trying to find the law on the internet is very confusing. It was all I could do to graduate Magna Cum Laude from law school. If you don't know what to do, you'll have to get a lawyer. I don't know of any single, reliable internet source to assist you.
