Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I was sued for credit card default by Asset Acceptance,LLC. I filed an answer in the required amount of 20 days and wast sent a letter from the court of a dismissal date if nothing was filed by the plantiff. Then I received a notice of a lawyer change and was resent the request for document for answers again so i went back and filed a second answer withinh the 20 days and now I just got a letter from the plantiff that they were awarded a judgement against me and the paper that had the judges signature on it stated that due to no response answer they were awarded the judgement.... what happened? I did file an answer and was not notified by the court for any hearing or nothing. so now am I just at the mercy of the plantiff or Asset Acceptance?

You should contact the court (preferably in person) and ask about filing an appeal. And ask to look at the court's file - that might tell you some things you don't know about.
