Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
If I am sued?
If I was sued for $4000.00 through the justice of the peace court in san antonio texas......(I borrowed money from a friend) and I was ordered to pay the money....what happens if I don't pay the money? Will I go to jail or will they garnish my wages or take it out of my income taxes at the end of the year? What is the worst that can happen?

they cannot garnish wages in TEXAS but move and they may...nor take income tax refund..but only non exempt property...which you may find on Google by searcing for Texas nonexempt property...and it will stay on your credit report..if they put it there for 10 years
