Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Sued by Midland Funding LLC.

Hi,

My father is been sued by Midland Funding for the chase credit card debit. He is unemployed for long time. He received a petition from a Texas county court. We really don�t know what to do. Please help. And if the court made a judgment in favor of the midland, what will happen? He don�t have money to pay it back. He doesn�t even have a bank account. He is living by the food stamp. He has a house ( I am paying for the mortgage and other stuff, but its under his name) and a 6 year old car (paid off). Is he going to lose those? Please help.
