Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I am being sued.

I rec'd citation papers from collection agency on behalf a credit card company in 1988. I am retired on a fixed income with no money.

My question is can I respond in writing with a letter saying have no money; or do I have to answer every question on each page.

give us more info..was the judgment in 1988? or is this a new lawsuit?..if so we may be interested..but ALWAYS answer deny//the claim as it probably has added charges/interst which are not legal...but pleading no money does not help...do not do that...
