Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I am being suided by a dedt collector over a credit card that I defalted on 10 years ago because I became dissabled and could not afford the payments. when I tried to talk to the bank they did nit want to work with me. then thay turned me over to the credit people even though I was making small payments.So decided to stop paying and that about ten years ago. Now this collector in suing me for the amount owed. I still cant afford to pay any more. Can they attach my saving account wich as very little in it and cand they take my house and car.

You need to file an answer NOW and plead limitations. If it's been more than four years since you made a payment (or promised to make a payment), you can beat this case.

File a statute of limitations defense if it has been 10 years. I fit has been 10 years, you have a counter suit for a violation of both the Texas State Debt Collection Acts and Federal State Debt Collection Acts.
