Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
suit filed in district court
I was served for a suit on a deficiency car loan balance. I did not answer in 20 days. It has now been 34 days and last night I had a notice that a constable was trying to serve me a sapoena. Would this be for that lawsuit?f

Hard to say, but probably. You can call the court clerk, and they will probably tell you what pleadings and orders are on file. Some counties allow you to access this information online.
