Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Summons

I have been summons to court on the 28th of August for a credit card co. for charges and interest in an account that was turned over to Debt Settlement of America. What happens if I do not show up in court?

Re: Summons

You don't get summoned to Court unless they have a judgment against you and you failed to respond ..so now if you don't go to Court you could be in contempt ...give more facts if you want a proper answer
