Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
What type of attorney do I need to be looking for?
I was charged by a telephone company long distance charges for phone calls that were made within my area code. There was no reason my telephone bill was supposed to be $1198...I don't even make long distance calls When I contacted my telephone company, they informed me that they were having problems with their billing system and that the problem would be resolved. After several attempts of contacting them and requesting that they mail me a call log, all I ever received was a statement with my balance. I finally gave up and decided that I wasn't going to pay it. They have pass it over to a collection agency since then. But now I need to resolve this matter and maybe an attorney can demand that they mail a detailed call log so that they can catch the error.

An attorney can do this for you. Contact an attorney in your area and see how much he/she would charge you. There are other legal issues that an attorney might be able to help you out with on these facts.
