what is the statue of limitmations on how long a debt collection agency such cach llc can try to collect on a unpaid credit card that was charge off

Creditors or their agents can sue anytime..but debtors or defendants MUST answer and plead statute of limitations..it is not automatice..so they can try to collect without limitation..cannot get a judgment if debtor answers and pleads sol..
