Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Vacating Abstract Judgement
I have a 9 year old AJ that the company that put it there is out of business and no way to settle or get a release from them.
I put a motion to vacate and order to vacate in same court they filed it in and judge told me IF i can show him where he has to Authority to vacate it he will. I feel like there is a simple reason i am missing on it to get him to sign it. Can you please tell me on what authority the judge has to vacate the judgement ?

Re: Vacating Abstract Judgement
The judge is asking for a TX case, e.g. a TX Appeals Court or Supreme Court decision that supports your request. Perhaps you can get a supporting affidavit from some one formerly employed by the judgment creditor.
