Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
Vehicle Dispute
I helped a friend out to buy a car because of her bad credit she was unable to puchase a car. The bank told us that after making 3 or more payments out of her bank account that the car could then be transfered into her name because it was showing she was making payments. She was doing good for a year and then just stopped making payments and would not even try to transfer the loan into her name. When I tried to go and get the car I was unable to find it. Eventually the car was repo and now I have this negative balance on my credit and have a loan to pay back. The only reason I did this was to help out a friend and now it has ruined my credit and prevented me from 2 career positions. I was the only person on the car loan. Is there anything that I can do to make her take responsilblity?

Re: Vehicle Dispute
You can sue her. If you get a judgment you can execute on her non-exempt property (if she has any).
