Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Vehicle Repo

I surrendered my vehicle back to my finance company and it has since been auctioned off and money paid towards the debt. They are now threatning me at work about garnishing my wages and serving me papers at my job. Can they keep calling me at work and serving papers at my job? I don't make alot of money and embarrassed to have to go to my boss and tell him this may happen. I need help fact Please.

They can't garnishee your wages in Texas. Write to them, certified mail, stating that you dispute the debt and all further communications are to be in writing.
