Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Verbal Agreement with a company

I wrote a check to a company for a $800.00 it was returned for NSF. it was sent to a collection company. I made a agreement with the collection company that i would pay them the following week the man that was reperenting the company agreed to this. but three days later ran the check again, and bounced 7 checks my bank charged me $35.00 for each check. totaling $245.00 in return fees alone. am i entitled to say that this company is in breach of a verbal contract? if so am i entitled to ask the collection company to eat the $245.00 and take it out of the $800.00 that i owe them. i want to do the right thing but i dont want to be cheated either.

You can try to make this argument in court, after filing a lawsuit, but I doubt you would be successful.
