Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I had a verbal agreement with someone and they paid me back half the money, but not the rest. How can I get them to pay the rest back? They refuse to take my calls and refuse to work this out.

Sue him. An oral contract is still a contract.

The problem will be if he comes into court and lies about it - "No, I didn't borrow $1000 from him; it was only $500."
