Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Can my wages be garnished for an auto loan if I live in Texas? Specifics....Contract was signed in Texas. We moved to Louisiana where we lost the car. I just received a letter from my companies payroll co. saying they are going to start garnishing wages within the next 2 pay periods attached was a copy of the judgement. Judgement was in Louisiana. We moved back to Texas about 6 months ago.

No, these folks CANNOT garnish your wages in Texas for an ordinary debt/judgment. It doesn't matter where the judgment came from. Don't let them scare money out of you.
