Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Can I get my $97,000.00 back if never convicted?

A long time ago, more than 15 years ago, in Texas, I was arrested for possesion of aprox 100 lbs marijuana. I was never convicted. Never a court case. When arrested, my life savings of aprox $97K was taken from me. If I was never convicted, can I get my money back? If so, how much of the 97K would the attorney want?

There very well may be a time limit attached to forfeiture cases. You should contact a lawyer to research the issue. I cannot tell how much a lawyer would charge because there is no set price - all lawyers charge differently.
